INTERNET PORTAL TO OFFER TOP SERVICES

Kuala Lumpur: Quicknet Com (M) Sdn Bhd, a mobile solutions provider
yesterday introduced its mobile internet portal "mobileExec" that
allows the delivery of a host of messaging solutions and services
targeted at the business community.
This is the first time a local solutions provider is targeting the
executive and business markets to enhance business communications,
the company said in statement.
It said mobileExec has capitalized on the growing use of short
message services (SMS) in providing a secure and reliable delivery
of messages across multiple carrier networks to any mobile and
wireless devices.
MobileExec leverages on its proven technology to provide a source of
constant communication anywhere and anytime, between users and their
business partners, customers and employees, at a lower cost.
"The past six months have seen a tremendous surge in the usage of
SMS, and we are confident the market is ready to take on a business
messaging service specially for executives and enterprises," said
its chairman and chief executive officer, Ramli Amat.
Industry feedback indicated a local average usage of more than 500
million SMS per month last year.
QuickNet's infrastructure and networks are built on a 724 solution
carrier grade technology that has been proven in many financial
service institutions.
"Apart from expanding and enhancing services and solutions, we will
soon extend our services to m-commerce thus enabling buying and
selling transactions as well as bill payments," Ramli said.
MobileExec's services and solutions are divided into several market
communities - executives, small office and home offices (SOHO), and
small-medium industries (SMIs). Executive SMS is a prepaid service
