MOBILEEXEC MAKES IT TO THE TOP 7 IN ITS
CATEGORY FOR THE ERICSSON MOBILE APPLICATIONS AWARDS 2002
mobileExec made it as the top 7 applications
amongst 175 applications submitted for the Ericsson Mobile
Applications Awards 2002 (Corporate Category).
The Ericsson Mobile Application Awards 2002 is an
international competition run by Ericsson in association with First
Tuesday Zurich to find the best, market-ready mobile applications.
These are applications and services that add value, create
convenience and make daily life and work easier. These awards seek
and reward those mobile applications leading the future in a
customer focused mobile Internet.
However, only the top three of each category will
be contested. The top 12 finalists will fight for the best award in
four categories. The categories are:

Best Mobile Entertainment Application (other
than Gaming)

Best Mobile Gaming Application
-
Best Corporate Solution
-
Best Information Services
The decision criteria for each application was as
follows:

launched or very near to launch
-
easy to use
-
innovative
-
exciting
-
attractive implementation
-
strong revenue model
-
market attractiveness (customer need)
-
speed to market
-
revenue model
While mobileExec did not make for the top 3 to
qualify for the finals, we very pleased to have made it thus far.
According to Negar Ayromloo of Ericsson and First Tuesday Zurich,
"... we would like to commend your application as you made the short
list of finalists. That is, of the 180 applications we received in
total, you were selected as one of the top 7 applications in your
category. Ericsson will be sending you a certificate shortly
indicating this achievement. Congratulations!"
There were over 175 applications from 21 countries - from Sydney to
Seattle and from Stockholm to Cape Town.
