QuickNet Com introduces mobileExec,
as the answer to fast, reliable and accountable messaging solutions,
suitable for executives & businesses to communicate efficiently &

KUALA LUMPUR - Mobility solutions provider, QuickNet Com (M) Sdn
Bhd, today introduced its mobile internet portal, ' mobileExec',
that allows the delivery of a host of messaging solutions and
services targeted at the business community. This is the first time
that a local solutions provider is focusing its products for the
executive and business markets for improved business communications.
mobileExec capitalizes on the growing use of short message services
(SMS) in providing secure, reliable delivery of messages across
multiple carrier networks to any mobile and wireless devices,
including mobile phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs). It
leverages on its proven technology to provide a source of constant
communications anywhere and anytime, between users and their
business partners, customers and employees, at a lower cost.
"The past six months have seen a tremendous surge in the usage of
SMS, and we are confident that the market is ready to take on a
business specific messaging service specially for executives and
enterprises" said QuickNet Com Chairman & CEO, Ramli Amat. Industry
feedback indicates local average usage of more than 500 million SMS
per month last year.

businesses and ensures delivery of messaging at high speed via our
leased lines to major mobile operators," he said. The mobileExec
application allows for the delivery of customized information to
users based on intelligent business rules and personal filters. It
also offers administration tools for user management, system
monitoring and message tracking.

carrier-grade technology that is a proven technology for many
successful telcos and large enterprises, especially financial
institutions, thus enabling us to provide these top notch services,"

provider that has built major infrastructures using its Wireless
Internet Platform (WIP) for NTT Docomo, China Mobile, JPMorgan
Chase, Wells Fargo Bank, Credit Suisse, Citigroup and The Bank of

The WIP is a suite of software products that run server-side at an
enterprise, carrier or portal, extending messaging and transaction

mobileExec's services and solutions are divided into several market
communities - executives and small offices small offices (SOHOs),

SMS is a prepaid service with features such as sending messages,
alerts, delayed SMS, message status among others. This is a
web-based application provided via the mobileExec web site at
www.mobileExec.net.
"For the enterprise community, we will be focusing on organizations
that emphasizes on client relationships such as financial
institutions, those offering loyalty programs, service-based
companies and retail", explained Ramli. "Our mobile customer
relationship management (CRM) applications will enable customized
and targeted marketing (advertisements, coupons, discounts,
promotions), service notifications, reminders and tracking, among
others It also allows enterprises to communicate with its workforce,
while providing employees with increased efficiency by being able to
access corporate data and make decisions on the go.
"Apart from continuously expanding and enhancing services and
solutions, we will soon extend our services to m-commerce thus
enabling transactions over wireless devises such as buying & selling
and bill payments," said Ramli.
QuickNet Com will also provide enterprises that are interested in
building its own mobile internet services, with necessary
application programming interfaces (APIs), consulting, software
development, capacity planning, project management, training and
even hosting using its Mobile Portal & Gateway Services.
Since its inception in mid-2000, QuickNet Com, has invested some RM
3 million in infrastructure and networking (including software
development, ISP back-ups to both TMnet and Jaring and leased lines
to various mobile operators) as well as HR and training. "We expect
to see a return on investment in the next 16 months," said Ramli
For mobileExec, QuickNet Com is targeting revenues of RM 10 million
for its first year of operations. "We are excited and positive of
both local and global recovery and interest in accelerating and
introducing the use of mobile wireless applications and we are
looking forward to a 100% year-on-year growth over the next three
(3) years," he further added.
Within the next 12 months, QuickNet Com is confident of securing
10,000 executive and SMIs customers with mobileExec, and 100
enterprises nationwide. Apart from its in-house marketing team,
QuickNet Com also aims to partner with 3-5 advertising & media
companies especially for promoting its mobile CRM capabilities, as
well as 2-3 systems integrators.
